V138-3.0 MW™: Maximising performance under constrained conditions

With a large rotor-size-to-rating ratio, the V138-3.0 MW™ strengthens Vestas’ portfolio of turbines, delivering superior park-level energy production with high certainty in performance. The rotor blade length accommodates tip-height-constrained markets: By combining the 138m rotor with a 83m standard tower, the new turbine features the industry’s largest swept area below 152.4m (500ft), a relevant height constriction in the United States. Benefiting from the scalable EnVentus platform architecture, the V138-3.0 MW™ also combines excellent production and grid performance with lower rotational speeds to meet low sound level requirements in sound-sensitive markets like France.
