Goldwind Appoints Keppel Prince Engineering for Moorabool Wind Farm

Keppel Prince Engineering, based in Portland Victoria, has secured a tower supply contract with Goldwind for the Moorabool Wind Farm, located 25 km southeast of Ballarat in Victoria.

Goldwind Australia Managing Director, John Titchen said Goldwind is very pleased to announce another partnership with Keppel Prince Engineering for the local production of tower sections.

‘Keppel Prince Engineering will be supplying 40 tower sections for the Goldwind turbines to be installed at the Moorabool Wind Farm. This amount suits Keppel Prince Engineering’s current capacity.

‘Goldwind and Keppel Prince Engineering have a solid history of tower production for our Australian projects. We recently announced a substantial contract for the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm, and they have also supplied to our operating projects; White Rock Wind Farm and Gullen Range Wind Farm in NSW and Morton’s Lane Wind Farm in Victoria.’ said John.

Keppel Prince Engineering General Manager, Steve Garner said he was very pleased to be continuing to work with Goldwind and commends Goldwind’s ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining local jobs for the industry.

Construction of Moorabool Wind Farm commenced in 2018. It is expected to create up to 300 jobs during construction peaks on site and employ up to 20 permanent maintenance staff once the wind farm is complete. Once operational, Moorabool Wind Farm will produce clean energy to power approximately 203,500 Victorian homes.
