Chartered Accountant Adrienne Airlie appointed to ORE Catapult Board
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Colin Hood said: “Adrienne brings to our Board over 35 years’ experience in financial services, including responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit, accountancy and business advisory clients across a range of industries, as well as advising charities and not-for-profit organisations on finance, governance and regulation. Her extensive experience will further strengthen the Catapult’s finance, risk management and governance practices.”
Adrienne Airlie added: “This is an exciting and buoyant industry, and I’m looking forward to working with the team at ORE Catapult to promote and support the future financial sustainability of the UK renewables sector.

Over the next five years, ORE Catapult will continue to drive offshore renewables innovation to grow UK businesses and reduce the cost of clean energy. Working with industry, government and academia, it provides leadership and coordination of the sector’s innovation priorities and supports industry through testing, demonstration, validation and research, enabling success for UK innovators.
Adrienne Airlie, Non-Executive Director, ORE Catapult
With over 35 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and more recently as Chief Executive of a mid-tier Scottish accountancy firm, Adrienne joins ORE Catapult as a non-executive director after standing down as Martin Aitken & Co’s Chief Executive in 2018. She continues as a Director of the firm.
In her professional practice she has had responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit, accountancy and business advisory clients across a range of industries, as well as advising charities and NFP organisations on finance, governance and regulation. She also has extensive experience in Financial Services.
Adrienne is also a non-executive director of international aid charity, Mercy Corps Europe, and she has served on various ICAS, and other finance and audit committees. In these various roles she uses her expertise in financial stewardship, governance and risk management.
