09 Sep | USTDA Supports Wind and Battery Storage Project, Opportunities for U.S. Business in Kenya

Nairobi, Kenya – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency has awarded a grant to Kenya’s Craftskills Energy Limited for a feasibility study to develop a 50-megawatt wind power plant with integrated battery storage capacity in Kenya. U.S. firm Delphos International will execute the study.

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a $1.15 million grant to Globeleq Zambia Wind Limited (Globeleq) for a feasibility study for an estimated 100-megawatt wind power plant in the Muchinga Province of Zambia. The study will be carried out by U.S. engineering firm, DNV GL Energy USA, Inc.

30 Jul | USTDA Connects U.S. Industry to Energy Opportunities in India

Today, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency signed a grant supporting technical design and project planning work for a 41-MW hybrid wind, solar, and energy storage power plant in Andhra Pradesh, India. The grantee is IL&FS Energy Development Company Limited (IEDCL), a private sector energy company in India. The technical assistance will advance pre-implementation and pre-construction activities for the plant, which is expected to lead to a 1,040 MW installation.

MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a grant to eleQtra (Moçambique) Limitada for a feasibility study to assess the viability of a 120 megawatt (MW) wind power plant to be developed in two phases of 60 MW each, located in the Namaacha District in southern Mozambique.
