19 Sep | Siemens Gamesa expands its green guarantee line to €1.25 billion

  • The deal, arranged with BNP Paribas, adds €350 million to the existing line of €900 million in "green" guarantees arranged with other banks.

  • The company maintains its firm commitment to sustainability and combating climate change, having installed over 95 GW of wind capacity to date, avoiding the emission of approximately 247 million tons of CO₂ per year.

  • First Siemens Gamesa offshore wind power nacelle assembly facility outside of Europe to be built.
  • Lease contract signed with Taiwan International Ports Corporation for land parcel of over 30,000 square meters in the port of Taichung.
  • Location will be used for offshore nacelle assembly, testing, warehousing, office buildings, and outdoor storage.
  • Production start planned for 2021; facility will support Ørsted’s 900 MW Greater Changhua 1 & 2a project and future regional projects.
